Indigenous Non-Reserve Residents
Individuals and families of First Nations descent who have needs and interests in common based on living in urban or rural areas that are not part of recognized Reserve lands. Non-reserve indigenous people may or may not have entitlements to live on a particular Reserve.
Indigenous Reserve Residents
Individuals and families of First Nations descent who have needs and interests in common based on living in areas recognized by federal and provincial/territorial governments as being set aside for Band Reserves. This includes territory that has transferred title directly to the First Nations community as part of a negotiated land settlement that includes self-government provisions.
