Description | The Morrin Centre is a unique heritage building erected in 1808 * At the time, it housed the first municipal jail — parts of which remain virtually intact to this day * In 1868, the building was converted into Morrin College, which also housed the library of the Literary and Historical Society of Quebec * Come experience the 19th-century jail cells, take in the beauty of the delightful College Hall and discover the magical library * Offer guided tours, school programs and room rentals within our beautifully restored building * Library services * Historical site * Guided tours * Readings by prominent authors * Discussion groups on stimulating topics * Lectures and concerts * Annual Writers' Festival * Space Rentals |
