Municipalities of the regional administration (see individual files) * Akulivik * Aupaluk * Inukjuak * Ivujivik * Kangiqsualujjuaq * Kangiqsujuaq * Kangirsuk * Kuujjuaq * Kuujjuarapik * Puvirnituq * Quaqtaq * Salluit * Tasiujaq * Umiujaq Technical assistance to municipalities: legal affairs, municipal management and accounting, land use planning and development, engineering and public transport Under the laws in force, the Kativik Regional Government also assumes the following responsibilities: * airport management and maintenance of maritime infrastructure * local and regional economic development and business development * police and civil security services * assistance to victims of crime * support for Inuit hunting, fishing and trapping activities and wildlife conservation * environmental and land-use management, and climate change adaptation research and planning * Nunavik national park development and management * employment, training and income support * childcare services * development of municipal infrastructure and monitoring of drinking water * internet access * recreation and sports, including Arctic Winter Games participation |
